The company was formed in 1959 by Peter Hall. Originally flooring was a very small part of the business but as shopping trends changed it became clear that quality flooring, expertly fitted would always have a market. Quality and customer service have always been very high on the company policy.

 Peter was joined by his son-in-law Kevin in 1986 and they worked together for 11 years. Unfortunately, due to ill health, Peter had to retire in 1997. The business then briefly went out of family ownership, although Kevin was still envolved with the day to day running of the company.

Kevin and his wife Lyn bought the business back in to family ownership in 2001.  In 2005 Peter Hall Flooring moved to its current location next to the Post Office. This is it's fourth home, all of which have been in Wickham Market.

Kevin was joined by his son Matthew, Peter Halls grandson in 2007. Matthew is the third generation to work for Peter Hall Flooring in its 49 year history, making it one of the longest established carpet retailers in the area.
